emptystreets

sometimes i wonder how it feels to be lost in a street filled with nothing but people.

bumping into absolute strangers with absolutely no idea who you'd end up saying hello to.

i want to say hello to new people.

you see, girls are just as complicated as boys. most girls want boys to say hello to them.

but when these boys actually take up the courage to say hello to them, they act nonchalant and all defensive.

which i suppose is normal. we all have parents who thought us to never say hello to strangers.

but when it's a guy (or guys) who says hello to you pops up with a big grin on his face and a shirt that says "i'm not a murderer", by all means ladies, say hello back.

it's simple etiquette. or human decency.

i had this girl who worked at a local gym which I frequent.. who always said hello to me.

funny thing: because she said hello to me so freakishly often, she caught my attention.

and i think there was a time when i was actually quite attracted to her. granted, she's not that tall, and yes she looks horrid in those off-color primary blue skirt of hers but i really, really don't care.

so ladies, if you see a guy you fancy over a barstool somewhere...make the first move. remember; he's probably just as scared as you are. just imagine you're bumping into him on a busy road crossing somewhere.

it beats being alone on an empty street.
